Additional Planning: Permissions, Models and Props

PERMISSIONS
The buildings and places I have shot, including; the sweet stall on Fargate Market, Williams Fasteners, Kelham Island, 'A New Shop' vintage store, the antique shop on Devonshire Green, the Showroom Cinema, an abandoned building in Hillsborough and Henderson's Relish were shot by myself for the purpose of contrasting new and old Sheffield industry, while meeting the brief of 'Creative and Digital Sheffield'.

To gain permission to shoot these areas and display the finalised photographs in a public space, I spoke with the staff and received verbal permission to take photographs of the sweets stall, the vintage shop and the antique shop. The frontage of the Henderson's Relish factory and Kelham Island are both open public spaces. I didn't get any permission to access Williams Fasteners because it is an abandoned building and after rigorous research I found that the owner, if they exist, are unknown. Many graffiti artists use the area to exhibit their talent, so I felt that we could get into the building safely without permission.

PROPS
I planned to use the locations of all of my shots in their natural states, without any need for additional props. This is because I feel that these images do not require any external props to enhance them.

MODELS/PERMISSIONS
I have deliberately not used any model permissions or call sheets as I had no requirements to use any models in my images. If, in future projects, I decide that I would like to use models, I will of course make sure that this documentation (including a call sheets and model permissions) are completed.

LIGHTING

My completed series of photographs do not include additional lighting, despite the fact I considered it for one of my images.
